For the new year, Virtual Regatta Inshore delivers a new graphic design of the home screen! The challenges are now separated by category for more readability, and the display of the custom games gives you more details to better choose which race to join! In addition, it is now possible to choose the wind speed on the races you create, and some bug fixes have been made.
Virtual Regatta Inshore is getting better! With this update you will be able to get your race helpers directly on the water - no more quitting a game or losing your tokens for a simple oversight anymore! A button at the top of the home lobby will now allow you to switch from Inshore to Offshore and vice versa with a single click!
Custom mode is now available for free for everyone! Will you race in teams or free-for-all?
For some challenges, a penalty-stacking rule will be applied between 10s and 0s before the start of the race.

The Olympic Virtual Series is coming to VR Inshore! For this upcoming event, the boats of the Olympic selection (Laser, 49er and Nacra 17) all receive new skins with the colors of the Olympic Games!
In this new update, all existing courses on VR Inshore now become available for all boats in Custom games! A great way to experience exciting races! The recommended courses for each boat will be shown in the course list to help you make your choice.
Corrections have also been made to rule 20, regarding the sailGP and America's Cup courses.
This update brings changes to Team Racing in order to align the game ranking rules to the official rules. It also fixes some display bugs specific to this game mode.

Join the race on the F50!
In this new version, tips on Virtual Regatta Inshore have been added during loading times. A great way to learn while waiting to join the race! Other tips will be regularly added to the game.
From now on, in private game, if the maximum number of players is reached, the race starts automatically without the need for the host to press the Start button.
Display bugs have been fixed in spectator mode, in the country ranking and in the game credits.
This new version of Virtual Regatta Inshore comes at the right time for the start of the 2021 season.
From now on, an algorithm for matchmaking allows rooms to be created by grouping players of similar levels.
In spectator mode, player arrival times have been improved.
For private games, races with a password will be more easily accessible with the addition of a button.
And finally, access to the list of changes made on each new version of the game will be available via the settings menu.
In this Christmas version, Virtual Regatta is prepping the ground for the upcoming 2021 season. In order to improve the ranking system, the current ELO ranking is suspended and therefore not accessible anymore. Points earned during races are still taken into account but the display of the leaderboard is turned off.

For the eSailGP challenges, the start rule has been adapted. In the case of a premature start, your boat is now slowed until it reaches the last position, getting closer to what happens in real navigation.
Finally, many upgrades have been made, notably on the limits of the navigation zone. Have fun!
